The mount is great for the motorcycle because it keeps the IPOD dirt free and dry. The only suggestion I have is that it needs an adaptor hole to plug in the earphones or speakers. My husband made a small hole himself and it still works great!

I purchased the weatherproof handlebar mount for my iPhone and was sorely disappointed. The basic RAM mount is fine but the weatherproofing consists of an oversized watertight case with a “clear Flex lens.” This is basically a heavy clear vinyl-like cover that would simply not work with my iPhone touch screen. I tried and tried using my bare fingers but could not get the iPhone to respond thru the cover. I can’t imagine it would work at all when wearing gloves. In addition, the case is not really made for an iPhone and the cableway is simply a popout in the center back of the case – not at all set up for an iPhone’s bottom run external power cable although you can make it work. Amazon is a reseller and their return policy requires you to contact the actual supplier. I contacted the supplier but have not yet received a reply (6 days)
